JOB SUMMARY
The Data Warehouse & ETL Developer designs, develops, maintains, and supports enterprise data warehouse solutions and data integration processes, primarily using Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS). This mid-level role transforms data from multiple business systems into reliable, well-structured data models that support reporting, analytics, and business decision-making. The developer partners with technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver accurate, scalable, and maintainable data solutions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines that load and transform data in Microsoft SQL Server data warehouse environments.
Translate business and source-system requirements into source-to-target mappings, transformation rules, and technical designs.
Write and optimize complex T-SQL, stored procedures, and reusable transformations for data extraction, cleansing, integration, and validation.
Develop, deploy, schedule, monitor, and support SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages and workflows.
Develop and maintain dimensional data models, including fact and dimension tables, to support reporting and analytics.
Create and execute unit tests, data reconciliations, and validation routines to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
Monitor production SSIS packages and data pipelines, troubleshoot failures and data issues, and perform root-cause analysis.
Optimize SQL Server queries, stored procedures, SSIS packages, and data-loading performance.
Follow source-control, code-review, deployment, and change-management standards.
Document data flows, technical designs, transformation logic, dependencies, and operational support procedures.
Collaborate with data architects, analysts, application teams, and business stakeholders to deliver and support dependable data solutions.
