We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and scale the deployment and operation of our enterprise data and analytics platforms, including but not limited to SQL, Azure/Fabric, Power BI, Tableau, Databricks, and Epic Cogito. This role will establish and manage CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and source control practices across analytics and data engineering teams, enabling reliable, repeatable, and auditable delivery of code and data assets.

You will own the administration and optimization GitHub (including migration from Azure DevOps), implement release management processes, and standardize environment promotion strategies (dev, test, prod).  You will also introduce new source control processes for gaps in our current strategy as defined. Working closely with BI, data engineering, and cloud teams, you will drive automation, improve platform reliability, and introduce best practices for version control, monitoring, and secure deployment across the analytics ecosystem.

PREFERRED CI/CD platform administration and implementation experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, Microsoft Fabric, and Databricks; experience architecting automated deployment pipelines, data platform integrations, and asset bundle management solutions.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Contribute to and help execute the roadmap for modernizing data platform delivery using Azure DevOps and GitHub as the CI/CD backbone 

• Engage stakeholders to identify challenges and align priorities around data pipeline delivery, release management, and deployment automation 

• Collaborate with data and analytics teams to enable scalable CI/CD practices across Microsoft Fabric and Databricks environments 

• Assess the current data and CI/CD landscape, including architecture, data flows, and platform maturity 

• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions, including automated build, test, and deployment processes 

• Develop and standardize environment promotion strategies (dev → test → prod) for data and analytics assets 

• Establish and enforce source control standards in GitHub for notebooks, pipelines, reports, and infrastructure-as-code 

• Implement automated testing frameworks for validating data pipelines and deployments prior to production release 

• Establish structured release management processes, including deployment scheduling, versioning, and environment promotion 

• Implement governance and quality controls through pipeline gates and validation processes to ensure secure, auditable deployments 

• Implement monitoring and alerting for CI/CD pipelines and deployments to ensure reliability and rapid issue resolution 

• Document and communicate CI/CD standards and practices; build adoption across engineering and analytics teams 

• Mentor engineers and analysts in CI/CD, Git-based workflows, and deployment best practices 

• Maintain and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes across the data platform ecosystem 

QUALIFICATIONS
