About the Role:

Praescient Analytics is looking for a Data Scientist to join our team in support of an Intelligence Community agency. You will process, analyze, and visualize complex, large-scale structured and unstructured datasets to deliver actionable intelligence insights and executive dashboards that drive critical customer decision-making.

Responsibilities:
  • Preprocess, analyze, and transform complex structured and unstructured data into clear, actionable analytical findings and executive dashboards.
  • Apply statistical modeling and data science techniques to identify trends, complex patterns, challenges, and operational opportunities.
  • Build dynamic, interactive dashboards and data visualizations using Tableau and data science libraries.
  • Develop reproducible data analytics artifacts using Jupyter Notebooks, GitHub repositories, and briefing materials.
  • Support database management, gold-standard dataset creation, data cataloging, and metadata management across diverse domains (socio-political, economic, military).
  • Conduct ad-hoc analytics and research to augment existing analytical tradecraft and methodologies.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field).
  • Analytics Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data analytics.
  • Programming: Minimum of 5 years of experience using Python or R with relevant data libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib).
  • Databases & Querying: Minimum of 5 years of experience with SQL querying and relational/NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
  • Visualization & Time-Series: Minimum of 5 years of experience analyzing time-series data and creating data visualizations/dashboards (including Tableau).
  • Clearance: Must be a U.S. citizen with an active TS/SCI with Polygraph

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with Tableau Prep for automated data cleaning and workflow setup.
  • Experience using Splunk, including establishing automated data processes inside secure customer environments.
  • Familiarity with Sponsor data assets, enterprise security controls, and governance practices.
