Systems & Workflow Integration Engineer to support critical systems within the Office of Network Modernization (ONM). In this high-visibility role, you will bridge mission strategy and operational execution, partnering closely with policy and decision-makers to evaluate complex enterprise workflows, scope modernization projects, and define high-impact technical use cases. Leveraging Python, Microsoft SharePoint, and advanced Excel tools, you will optimize routine processes, construct data-driven metrics, and engineer clear, actionable dashboards and data visualizations that guide executive leadership and streamline critical system operations.
The annual base salary range for this role is $156,000-$184,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
Required Skills- Project Scoping & Use Case Development: Demonstrated ability to evaluate enterprise workflows, scope technical projects, and author clear use cases for seamless system integration.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Strategy: Experience interfacing and collaborating directly with policy leaders, senior decision-makers, and cross-functional mission partners.
- Workflow Automation & Scripting: Practical experience using Python to automate routine tasks, manipulate datasets, and build custom workflow tools.
- Data Management & Collaboration Tools: Advanced proficiency using Microsoft SharePoint for collaboration structures and Excel for complex data analysis, modeling, and management.
- Metrics & Visual Analytics: Practical experience defining key performance metrics, building interactive dashboards, and creating high-impact data visualizations.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline, PLUS 10+ years of professional experience in data science, NLP, or software engineering OR Associate's Degree PLUS 12+ years of specialized technical experience in lieu of a degree.
Desired SkillsONM / Enterprise Modernization Domain Knowledge: Direct background supporting the Office of Network Modernization (ONM) or related high-level intelligence community modernization programs.
Advanced Business Intelligence (BI) Tools: Experience with dedicated BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Elastic/Kibana) for executive-level dashboard creation.
Process Mapping & Frameworks: Familiarity with process mapping software (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart) and Agile management platforms (Jira, Confluence).
