What Impact You'll Have

We are seeking a Mid-Level Data Scientist to support mission-critical survey exploitation and data analytics efforts within the Intelligence Community. This role focuses on transforming complex datasets into meaningful insights that enhance mission understanding and support informed decision-making. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and technical skills with a collaborative mindset, enabling them to develop data-driven solutions, improve survey methodologies, and deliver high-quality products in support of national security objectives.

What You'll be Owning

As a Mid-Level Data Scientist, you will analyze and interpret complex survey and operational datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that support Intelligence Community mission objectives. You will conduct statistical analyses, develop visualizations, and present findings in a manner that enables customers to make informed operational and strategic decisions.

You will develop, maintain, and enhance the tools, databases, and processes that support the creation, implementation, and exploitation of specialized surveys. Working with data from multiple sources, you will ensure datasets remain accurate, consistent, and accessible while managing data within environments that may have hardware, software, or bandwidth constraints. Your efforts will directly improve the quality, efficiency, and reliability of survey exploitation activities.

Working closely with mission partners, analysts, and technical teams, you will provide responsive customer support while ensuring compliance with established data management and records management practices. You will contribute to process improvements, document methodologies, and help maintain repeatable workflows that support mission success across the enterprise.

What You Must Have
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI Poly.
  • Experience conducting statistical analysis on survey or operational datasets and effectively communicating results through data visualizations.
  • Experience compiling, organizing, and analyzing datasets to derive meaningful insights.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, and enhancing tools, databases, or applications that support complex survey development and implementation.
  • Ability to manage and maintain data in environments with hardware, software, or bandwidth constraints.
  • Experience integrating, maintaining, and validating multiple data sources to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Government and NGA records management practices.
  • Strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Windows-based platforms and common data analysis tools.
  • Demonstrated customer support and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

What Would be Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with the U.S. Intelligence Community and Intelligence Community Analytic Standards.
  • Experience supporting survey content design and implementation.
  • Experience developing, documenting, and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for survey tools, processes, or data management workflows.
  • Experience supporting intelligence analysis, data exploitation, or mission-focused analytics.
  • Familiarity with scripting or automation tools that improve data processing and survey exploitation workflows.
  • Experience creating dashboards or visual analytics products to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
