Responsibilities:The Data/Information Management Specialist owns the structure, quality, and governance of data assets across Enterprise. They will maintain the command data catalog, enforce data standards, manage metadata, and ensure information flows correctly between systems (SharePoint, Power BI, Purview, Maven, Vantage). This binary capacity role will specialize in ensuring data is governed, cataloged, and trustworthy whilst dually analyzing data into actionable insight.
Required Skills/Qualifications:- Active Secret clearance
- Three (3)+ years understanding and implementing data governance principles in a formal data governance framework across a multi-domain enterprise
- Three (3)+ years of hands-on Microsoft Purview data governance experience of sensitivity labels, data classification, and data mapping
- Three (3)+ years of SharePoint contact structuring for findability for potential cross site search optimization; sites, libraries, lists, content types, views
- Three (3)+ years of building, maintaining, and/or implementing command data catalog concepts or enterprise data inventory; data sources, descriptions, owners, refresh schedules.
- Proficient or Advanced practical experience with Power BI; report design, data modeling, DAX, M (Power Query), visualizations, publishing, and sharing
- Three (3)+ years of writing SQL queries to extract and validate data from relational databases
- Three (3)+ years of multi-source integration, connecting Power BI to multiple data sources (SQL Server, SharePoint lists, Excel, APIs, Excel, and Cloud services).
- Three (3)+ years of managing a portfolio of multiple active recurring reports with defined refresh schedules, ownership, and distribution lists.
- Experience designing executive-level dashboards for military or DoD leadership
- Ability to communicate governance to non-technical audiences
- CompTIA Security+ certification
