Location: McLean, VA
The impact you will have:- Deliver a wide range of high-value technical projects, including designing and building reference architectures, developing how-to guides, and operationalizing customer use cases.
- Partner with Engagement Managers to scope professional services work based on customer needs and desired outcomes.
- Guide strategic customers through transformational big data initiatives and third-party migrations, including end-to-end design, build, and deployment of advanced data and AI applications.
- Provide architectural guidance and hands-on implementation support to ensure successful evaluation and adoption of Zachary Piper Solutions.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex operational issues during customer engagements.
- Collaborate closely with Zachary Piper Solutions technical teams, Project Managers, Architects, and customer stakeholders to ensure all technical components are delivered effectively.
- Work with Engineering and Customer Support to share product feedback, resolve engagement-specific issues, and improve the overall customer experience.
What we look for:- Experienced in Apache Spark (Must have)
- 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, or analytics
- Proficiency in Python or Scala
- Working knowledge of at least two major cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) and deep expertise in one
- Strong experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark14 and familiarity with Spark runtime internals
- Understanding of CI/CD practices for production deployments
- Working knowledge of MLOps concepts and workflows
- Experience designing and deploying scalable, performant end-to-end data architectures
- Proven ability to deliver technical projects, manage scope, and meet timelines
- Strong documentation, communication, and whiteboarding skills
- Experience working directly with customers and navigating conflict or ambiguity
- Ability to build new technical skills that support Zachary Piper Solutions solution deployment and integration
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
Compensation:- Salary Range: $120,000 - $225,000 based on experience
