Job Description

We are seeking a Data Center Engineer who is looking for an opportunity to grow and take on more responsibility, in one of our Dewberry offices. Our growing, fast-paced site/civil engineering practice seeks a client focused, highly motivated, organized engineer. The Data Center Engineer will be responsible for supporting  technical teams in all aspects of site/civil project design within our National Programs Market Sector.  The types of projects anticipated include private sector, commerical clients and data centers. Knowledge of industry standards and proven ability regarding site development drawing production required. 

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate and support teams in all aspects of a given project to develop detailed design documents for construction plans.
  • Site/civil development including grading design, etc.
  • Preparation of all associated calculations, reports and spreadsheets.
  • Conduct code research, write specifications, and obtain permitting.
Required Skills & Required Experience
  • BS degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years' progressive design experience directly related to site/civil development projects.
  • PE license preferred
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft office is required.
  • Proven track record of meeting project and client deadlines.
  • Works in a timely fashion to meet project budgets.
  • Communicates effectively with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, and review agency staff.
  • Composes technical reports, memorandums and other written communication such as email.
  • Ability to multi-task and work simultaneously on several projects at once.
