• Hiring, managing, and developing the operations management team including compute operations managers, engineering operations managers, logistics operations managers, and security operations managers.
• Attainment of organizational performance goals and objectives relating to safety, security, availability, scaling, and efficiency.
• Planning and executing the Infrastructure Operations component of new AWS data center build outs, new co-location build-outs, AWS data center expansions, and co-location expansions, including server hardware install, troubleshooting and repair, security system install, troubleshooting and repair, and related Operations tasks.
• Operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems for Amazon data centers to include preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and change management.
• Vendor management of co-location data center services providers to meet or exceed contracted performance SLA's.
• Safety, security, and availability incident response, incident management, and incident resolution.
• Continuous improvement of operational processes, procedures, methods, and tools.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field.
- 5+ years as a manager of managers.
- 10+ years managing data center operations, facility engineering, critical environments, build-outs, or similar.
- 5+ years delivering complex projects with proven track record.
- 5+ years owning mission-critical teams/products; autonomous management of geographically distributed infrastructure teams; fluent in French and English (required for global/provincial Amazon interactions).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree in Engineering and Business Administration, or related fields.
- 5+ years using continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
- 5+ years as technical PM or team member on data center build-outs and startups.
- 5+ years in IT infrastructure (compute/storage servers, networking, service delivery).
- 4+ years in hardware/security install, troubleshooting, repair; data center mechanical/electrical/controls operations (preventive/corrective maintenance, change management).
- Vendor management for co-location SLAs; incident response/resolution; process improvements; hiring/developing high-performing teams; SME in data center systems.
- 5+ years excellent written/verbal communication; data-driven examples of Amazon Leadership Principles.
The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
