We are looking for a Data Science and Analytics Specialist to provide project management and hands-on implementation support for data science, analytics, governance, machine learning and artificial intelligence projects across the MSPO organization as a member of the Advanced Manufacturing Technology (AMT) organization. Develop and mature data technology projects at multiple MSPO sites to drive efficiencies and savings in manufacturing support costs. Help coordinate a virtual team of citizen data scientists at multiple sites in the identification, design, and deployment of data-related factory optimization opportunities. Champion team goals, drive collaboration across sites/programs/work centers, and facilitate knowledge sharing among team members. Stay informed of a wide variety of data science and related technical principles, theories, concepts, and applications to facilitate advanced technology insertion.
Core responsibilities include:
• Provide project management and hands-on implementation support for data science, analytics, governance, ML, and AI projects across the MSPO organization.
• Develop and mature data technology initiatives at multiple MSPO sites to drive manufacturing efficiency, cost savings, and quality improvements.
• Coordinate a virtual team of citizen data scientists to identify, design, and deploy factory optimization opportunities using manufacturing data.
• Champion cross-site/program collaboration, knowledge sharing, and team goals across the Advanced Manufacturing Technology organization.
• Represent MSPO on cross-Business Area roadmaps and technology projects, facilitating collaboration with RMS IFF, CDAO, IT, and Advanced Quality teams to identify and replicate innovative data-driven solutions.
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum 1 year of experience delivering technical solutions in data science, analytics, or modeling/simulation tool deployment.
• Familiarity with data management, governance, or analytics principles relevant to manufacturing efficiency and cost-savings initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple sites or programs and contribute to knowledge sharing in a virtual team environment.
Desired Skills
• Experience in software coding, especially in Python and SQL
• Experience in configuration management with visual studio and git hub
• Experience in Alteryx, Tableau, and HANA Studio
• Experience applying data science-based technologies in a manufacturing environment, especially involving machine learning and/or artificial intelligence with interfaces to Manufacturing Execution Systems or Enterprise Resource Planning systems
• Experience in Agile project management, leading a team to deliver solutions within budget and schedule constraints
Pay Information
GeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States. Locations are assigned a Geo Zone based on the primary work location of the role.
• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 1): $131100.00 - $243500.00
• Includes metropolitan areas such as Sunnyvale CA; Pal Alto, CA; New York City metropolitan area; Newark, New Jersey; etc.
• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 2): $118000.00 - $219100.00
• Includes metropolitan areas such as Denver, CO; King of Prussia, PA; Stratford, CT; Moorestown, NJ; etc.
• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 3): $104900.00 - $194700.00
• Includes metropolitan areas such as Dallas-Fort Worth, TX; Orlando, FL; Grand Prairie, TX; Marietta, GA; etc.
• Full-time salary range (GEOZONE 4): $94400.00 - $175200.00
• Includes metropolitan areas such as Camden, AR; Lexington, KY; Lufkin, TX; etc.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
