What You Will Do:

The Cyber Strategy Consultant will provide research, analysis, planning, facilitation, documentation, and implementation support for partnership and mission initiatives. The consultant will help clients interpret complex policies, plans, directives, and leadership priorities and convert them into clear strategies, practical roadmaps, and executable project activities.

This position requires strong consulting, stakeholder engagement, strategic communication, and project-management skills, supported by cybersecurity domain experience. The successful candidate must understand cyber threat intelligence (CTI), SOC operations, incident response, and cyber defense well enough to interpret complex operational and policy requirements, challenge assumptions, and convert them into credible strategies, roadmaps, governance approaches, and implementation activities.

What You Will Need:

  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.

  • Bachelors degree.

  • Minimum THREE (3) years of experience in cyber, strategy, consulting or related experience.

  • Demonstrated understanding of CTI concepts and products, SOC processes, cyber incident response, and defensive cyber operations.

  • Experience working with cybersecurity operators, threat intelligence analysts, incident responders, or comparable technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to interpret cybersecurity policies, plans, directives, and operational concepts and translate them into executable program and project activities.

  • Professional experience in management consulting, strategy, business analysis, program management, organizational transformation, or a related field.

  • Experience supporting cybersecurity, technology, national security, defense, government operations, or another complex mission environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to structure ambiguous problems and translate analysis into practical recommendations.

  • Experience developing strategic plans, implementation roadmaps, executive briefings, decision materials, or operating models.

  • Strong research, analytical, problem-solving, writing, editing, briefing, and presentation skills.

  • Experience engaging stakeholders and coordinating inputs across multiple organizations or functional areas.

  • Ability to convert broad strategic direction into defined activities, milestones, owners, and deliverables.

  • Experience facilitating meetings, documenting decisions, and tracking actions through completion.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Direct experience supporting a SOC, CTI program, incident-response function, cyber defense organization, or related operational mission.

  • Experience supporting CISA, JCDC, DHS, DoD, the Intelligence Community, or another federal mission organization.

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity operations, cyber threat information, incident management, critical infrastructure, or risk management.

  • Experience developing partnership strategies involving industry, regional, SLTT, international, or federal stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with federal policy, planning, governance, acquisition, or program-management environments.

  • Experience facilitating executive workshops or cross-functional strategic planning sessions.

  • Active Top Secret Clearance.
