Position Summary:Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) is seeking a
Cybersecurity Program Analyst to work out of our Ingalls Shipbuilding facility (Pascagoula, MS), Newport News Shipbuilding facility (Newport News, VA) or Mission Technologies division (Fairfax, VA). The Cybersecurity Program Analyst provides advanced support to Cyber leadership by coordinating key governance/compliance activities, performing project management activities, managing IT regulatory control processes, supporting cybersecurity strategic planning, documenting the technology journey, and integrating Cyber initiatives across the business divisions. This role serves as a trusted execution partner for cybersecurity leaders, handling high-visibility tasks and complex ad hoc requests with strong attention to detail and cross-functional awareness.
The Cybersecurity Program Analyst must be capable of working closely with senior management, third parties, project managers and business subject matter experts (SMEs).
Details below! Essential Job ResponsibilitiesRegulatory Control Support- Coordinate SOX / HIPAA IT control activities, including documentation, testing support, remediation tracking, and evidence collection.
- Work with control owners to ensure controls are performed and recorded accurately.
- Coordinate with internal and external audit teams.
Cybersecurity Strategy & Roadmap Support- Assist in developing and maintaining cybersecurity strategy materials, roadmaps, and capability planning documents.
- Gather data from teams, track progress, and prepare reports that summarize status, risks, and dependencies.
- Help translate leadership direction into structured deliverables and project actions.
Cyber Technology Journey Documentation- Document cyber architecture changes, program maturity, and evolving technology capabilities.
- Produce clear narratives, diagrams, and summaries for executive-level consumption.
- Maintain organized repositories of program documentation and historical activity.
Business Integration & Stakeholder Coordination- Working with divisional Business Information Security Officers
- Support integration of cyber processes, requirements, and initiatives across business divisions.
- Capture incoming requests directed to Cyber leadership, prioritize, and coordinate responses or actions.
- Facilitate communication between Cyber, IT teams, and business units to align expectations and timelines.
Operational & Program Support- Manage ad hoc statements of work independently, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
- Prepare presentations, dashboards, and reports for leadership.
- Track tasks, risks, and deadlines related to governance and strategic initiatives.
- Be actively informed and engaged in cybersecurity projects across the business.
- Foster strong relationships with internal business units and excel in cybersecurity communication.
Minimum Qualifications- 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related discipline
- 9 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT governance, compliance, or technology program support. 7 years relevant experience with Masters or PhD in related field
- Solid understanding of general IT controls
- Applicable knowledge of national and global cybersecurity policies, regulations and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Strong analytical, documentation, task-management, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders
- Experience in organizing complex information, preparing reports and presentations for senior audiences
- Experience with project management
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and fast-turnaround requests
- One or more Cyber related certifications
- High level of integrity, trustworthiness and confidence, and able to represent the company and cybersecurity leadership with the highest level of professionalism
- Efficient self-starter requiring minimal supervision
- Ability to obtain a clearance with the US DOW
