Who We're Looking For (Position Overview):

We're looking for a senior Cybersecurity Policy and Strategy Analyst to support Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC), Deputy Commandant for Information (DC I), Information C4 Division (IC4). You will serve as a cybersecurity subject matter expert supporting Marine Corps enterprise policy, strategy, privacy, identity and authentication, and information protection initiatives centered around Social Media. You'll work directly with Marine Corps stakeholders and represent Service-level interests across Department of the Navy (DON) and Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity efforts. This is an opportunity to directly influence cybersecurity policies and capabilities that support the Marine Corps enterprise and Fleet Marine Force.

What Your Day-To-Day Looks Like (Position Responsibilities):

Cybersecurity Policy & Strategy: Develop, review, interpret, and maintain cybersecurity plans, policies, directives, standards, and strategies; assess policy requirements and translate DoD, DON, and Marine Corps requirements into actionable Service-level guidance.

Privacy & Information Protection: Support Marine Corps privacy and Personally Identifiable Information (PII) initiatives, including development of policies and procedures, Privacy Impact Assessments, reporting requirements, and coordination with programs implementing capabilities that process or protect PII.

Stakeholder Engagement: Represent Marine Corps cybersecurity interests in DoD and DON working groups, policy boards, technical reviews, and other forums; provide authoritative cybersecurity policy guidance to leadership, program offices, and stakeholders.

Cybersecurity & Risk Analysis: Evaluate cybersecurity posture, policies, controls, vulnerabilities, and risks; support security reviews, assessments, audits, and investigations and recommend corrective actions and long-term improvements.

Social Media Protection: Support and report on Marine Corps social media protection reviews and related cybersecurity activities designed to identify threats and protect Marine Corps personnel and information.

What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Requirements):

Demonstrated expertise developing, analyzing, and implementing cybersecurity policy, strategy, standards, and governance within DoD, DON, Marine Corps, or a comparable federal environment.

Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, identity management, privacy/PII protection, risk management, security assessment, and applicable federal and DoD cybersecurity requirements.

Demonstrated ability to independently analyze complex cybersecurity issues and communicate technical and policy requirements effectively to senior leaders, program offices, and technical stakeholders.

Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance and maintain applicable DoD cybersecurity workforce certification requirements.

Ideally, You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):

Direct experience supporting HQMC, DON, or DoD cybersecurity policy and governance organizations.

Experience with Identity Management, authentication/PKI, Privacy/PII, RMF, or cybersecurity compliance.

Experience representing an organization in senior-level DoD/DON working groups, policy boards, or cybersecurity governance forums.

Familiarity with Marine Corps organizational structure, cybersecurity programs, Naval correspondence, and headquarters-level staff processes.
