About The Position
The Cyber Security Programs Engineer provides technical leadership for the site through cyber security, optimization and reliability of systems and equipment, proactive identification and resolution of plant issues, and technical assistance to other departments. Also maintains a thorough knowledge of programs, codes, standards and operating experience and how they relate to the plant.
Job Responsibilities
- Act as a technical Cyber Security Program Engineer according to Callaway Energy Center procedures and policies.
- Perform safety evaluation screening, disposition of nonconformance reports, disposition Requests for Resolution (RFRs) to include Engineering Evaluations, Minor Modifications, and Material Equivalencies for equipment within assigned system/area/component groups.
- Perform causal analysis of equipment and system/area deficiencies and failures and determine corrective actions to resolve
- Leads the Cyber Security Assessment Team (CSAT), which reviews and approves digital device scoping evaluations, threat mitigation plans, and implementing procedures
- Proactive performance monitoring and trend the performance of cyber security and related systems programs/area and periodically assess and report the status to plant management in accordance with applicable plant procedures.
- Perform engineering evaluations and reviews of applicable NRC and INPO documents and review, use, and share Operating Experience.
- Work planning and prioritization (including long-range planning and life-cycle management).
- Serves as a member of the NEI Cyber Security Task Force, which interfaces with the NRC and creates industry guidance documents which receive NRC approval as acceptable for methods for implementing regulatory requirements
- Prioritize / establish action plans to address deficiencies on cyber security and system areas via the corrective action and work management processes.
- Represents Cyber Security on the Physical Security Target Set Team and coordinates s with NRC, DHS, DOE, and FBI as required during cyber security events.
- Interface with other departments and industry cyber security organizations including NEI and NITSL for cost effective maintenance strategies
- Support changes in configuration / design and design basis.
- Develop engineering products in accordance with defined standards and procedures.
- Review technical specifications and instruction manuals to determine testing and maintenance requirements of safety related equipment.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited institution is required. Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering degree preferred. Previous Nuclear Utility experience preferred.
In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:
Must have good leadership, decision making, communication and human relations skills. Security screening is required for Callaway plant access.

Compensation Range:
$71,100.00 - $172,200.00
* This pay range encompasses multiple levels of the role. Career level and compensation depends upon applicant’s credentials.

Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
