Description
CAE Defence & Security Canada is seeking a Cyber Implementation Specialist to support the design, integration, implementation, and sustainment of cybersecurity solutions across Defence & Security Canada programs. This role is embedded within the D&S Canada architecture team and supports both project delivery and in-service operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Cybersecurity Architecture & Implementation
Lead the implementation of cybersecurity controls and architectures for current and future D&S Canada programs
Translate contractual cybersecurity requirements, including CDRLs, DIDs, and Annex F matrices, into implementation plans and technical architectures
Support the development, maintenance, and customization of reusable cybersecurity documentation and templates for proposal and program delivery activities.
Project Delivery & Technical Leadership
Serve as the primary cybersecurity lead for assigned programs, ensuring alignment with Government of Canada cybersecurity requirements, including DIMSecur and PSPC guidelines.
Participate in technical reviews, working groups, and customer engagements to represent CAE's cybersecurity approach and program compliance.
Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to validate cybersecurity tools and support the secure deployment of virtualized environments.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with internal stakeholders, including Digital Services, Engineering, and Program Management teams, as well as external partners, to support cybersecurity compliance requirements.
Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to cybersecurity team members and contribute to architecture team initiatives across multiple programs.
Operational Support & Sustainment
Support cybersecurity operations activities, including vulnerability management, incident response planning, and compliance assessments.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of SharePoint and Power BI content used for cybersecurity documentation, reporting, and program tracking.
Minimum Qualifications
Current Government of Canada security clearance.
Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity architecture, cybersecurity implementation, or a related cybersecurity function.
Experience working within defense, aerospace, government, or other regulated environments.
Knowledge of Canadian government cybersecurity frameworks and compliance requirements, including:

Canadian Centre for Cyber Security (CCCS) publications and guidance
Experience with virtualized environments such as VMware, VDI, or similar technologies.
Experience with network segmentation and secure cloud environments, including Microsoft Azure Protected B environments or comparable secure cloud solutions.
Experience with cybersecurity technologies including:
Firewalls
Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS)
Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms
Endpoint protection solutions
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in English.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting Government of Canada defense programs.
Familiarity with military simulation, training, or mission-support environments.
