Position SummaryThe Cyber Subject Matter Expert (SME) provides expertise in cyber threat analysis, cyberspace operations, and the integration of cyber considerations into planning, analysis, and training. The Cyber SME enables teams to understand and apply cyber effects in support of operational and decision-making objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Advise on cyber threats, adversary cyber capabilities, and cyber-relevant risks.
- Integrate cyber considerations into operational planning, intelligence analysis, and targeting processes.
- Support analysis of how cyber activities enable or disrupt adversary systems and decision-making.
- Develop and deliver cyber-related briefings, assessments, and training materials.
- Support planning efforts that incorporate cyber effects alongside other operational capabilities.
- Assist with exercises, training events, and scenario development as required.
- Ensure cyber-related activities align with applicable doctrine, policy, and authorities.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Experience in cyber operations, cyber intelligence, or related Department of Defense (DoD) cyber functions.
- Familiarity with joint cyber doctrine and planning processes.
- Experience supporting training, exercises, or analytical teams preferred.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience supporting DoD cyber operations, cyber intelligence, cyberspace operations, or cyber planning.
- Minimum of 3 years supporting U.S. Army Special Operations Forces (USASOF), U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), a Theater Special Operations Command (TSOC), Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), or Joint Force cyber-enabled operations.
- Minimum of 5 years supporting cyber operations, cyber intelligence, cyberspace planning, or the integration of cyber effects into operational planning.
Clearance:
- An Active DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance required
