Full Job Description
Vortexa is hiring a Customer Success Manager to join our US account teams in Houston or New York. Youll make sure every user at our clients, current and future, gets real value from Vortexa. Youll own adoption and value for your book of business, working with each Account Manager as one account team. Youll know the users inside every account: who they are, how they work, how they use Vortexa across platforms, API and MCP, and where new needs and teams are emerging. Your job is to enable users and to be the account teams best source of insight into how clients needs are changing. The Account Manager, with whom youll partner, turns that insight into commercial action. This is a hands-on role for someone commercially curious, credible with end-users, and comfortable building process where none exists yet. What youll do 3 Drive onboarding and time to value. Run onboarding plans for new clients and new users, covering both UI analytics platform and API/integration workflows. 3 Know every user. Build and maintain a user and buying-center map for each account: who uses Vortexa, how, how often, and which desks, teams or regions dont use it yet. 3 Deepen adoption. Turn client goals and workflows (trading, chartering, analytics, quant) into success plans and use cases, and review them with champions every quarter. 3 Protect retention. Monitor account health and usage, act early on risk, and give the Account Manager a usage and value case at least 120 days before each renewal. What youll bring 3 4+ years in energy, commodities or shipping markets, ideally as an analyst, trader, charterer, broker or operator working hands-on with market and vessel data. Well also consider customer success or account management backgrounds where youve supported technical, analytical users of a data product in these markets. 3 Experience in energy, commodities or maritime markets, or with a data or API product used by technical and analytical buyers. 3 Technical fluency, or the willingness to learn, when talking credibly about APIs, data integrations and how analyst teams consume data. 3 The ability to build trust with front-line users (traders, analysts, charterers) and with senior decision-makers. 3 A data-driven approach: you use usage data and CRM to prioritize your time and show clients the value they get. Nice to have 3 Working knowledge of Python or SQL 3 Familiarity with AI tools, agents or MCP in data workflows Benefits 3 Stock-options in a fast-growing, high-potential business 3 A vibrant and diverse workplace 3 An open, collaborative, and supportive working culture built on merit, which celebrates creative thinking and "getting things done." 3 The opportunity to work with AI-driven technology in a scale-up environment with commodity trading experts 3 401k with up to 2% contributions matched by Vortexa 3 Private Health Insurance offered via Blue Cross Shield 3 Dental and Vision cover offered via Guardian 3 Global Volunteering Policy to help you 'do good' and feel better
