Job Description Summary
The Project Engineer (PE) will lead cross-functional product development efforts for the sensor products team, driving new product development from concept through production. This role is responsible for coordinating the Integrated Product Development Team (IPDT) and partnering with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and Marketing to deliver innovative sensing solutions, including temperature sensors, temperature probes, and other advanced sensor technologies.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Own and lead assigned New Product Development (NPD) projects from launch through production.
  • Deliver all project milestones on schedule, including hardware, testing, analysis, and documentation.
  • Prepare design and analysis reports and lead design reviews for assigned projects.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers on assigned projects.
  • Review engineering drawings and apply a strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Review design outputs to ensure completeness, accuracy, and technical integrity.
  • Develop and implement standard design practices based on lessons learned.
    Interpret and clarify customer technical requirements and expectations.
  • Partner with the Development Team to meet internal unit cost targets and support cost planning.
  • Define and maintain technical compliance to customer requirements.
  • Write technical proposals and present technical information to customers.
  • Lead cost reduction initiatives and track progress against goals.
  • Support resolution of field issues.
  • Provide factory support as needed.
  • Travel up to 20%, domestically and internationally.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, OR a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Mechanical, Electrical or Aeronautical Engineering.

  • Advanced degree is a plus in Mechanical, Electrical or Aeronautical Engineering.

The base pay range for this position is $72,000 to $90,000 annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on September 12th, 2026.
