Responsibilities

  • Operate computerized tomography (CT) scanner for imaging purposes as per Radiologist's directions.
  • Position patients and administer contrast media injections prior to procedures.
  • Manipulate and optimize images for diagnostic accuracy and quality.
  • Reproduce screen images onto film for physician review.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring clear communication and empathy towards patients.
  • Explain procedures to patients to alleviate anxiety and build trust.
  • Perform CT biopsies and assist interventional radiologists during procedures.

Full Job Description
Hourly Pay Range:
$37.47 - $58.08 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:
  • SIGN-ON BONUS: $20,000
  • Position: CT Technologist III
  • Location: Edward Hospital, Naperville, IL
  • Full Time, 40 hours weekly
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 11pm to 7am, rotating weekends, on-call rotation and holidays


What you will do:

Operates computerized tomography (CT) scanner to obtain filmed images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies, in accordance to Radiologist's directions and established procedures. Positions patients for procedure, administers injections of contrast media, operates scanners to visualize pathologies, manipulates images to find best image possible and reproduces screen images on film. Delivers and ensures customer service in all aspects to job, being attentive of eye contact, facial/body expressions and tone of voice. Explains procedure to patient, giving opportunity for questions to reduce anxiety and promote trust.

In addition to the CT Tech II abilities, CT tech IIIs are proficient in performing CT biopsies, assisting the IR physician through the procedures.

What you will need:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Preferred: A minimum of an Associate's Degree or higher
  • IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency) licensure
  • ARRT (R) (American Registry of Radiological Technology) (Radiology) certification, preferred. Must successfully complete certification exam and be registered within six months of start date into position.
  • ARRT (CT), (Computerized Tomography), preferred. Must successfully complete certification exam and be registered within six months of start date into position.
  • Current CPR Certification (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
  • 2+ years CT experience preferred
