Mission for this PositionReporting to the Crusher Superintendent and responsible for the safe and efficient operations of Crushing Operations. Manage daily operations within Crushing sector.
Main Accountabilities- Daily management of operations within the Crushing sector
- Meet objectives and comply with; safety plans, incident-reporting process, policy/procedure reviews, etc.
- Using practical judgment within the limits set by the Manager, to manage social problems as they occur.
- Mentor and provide performance feedback to team members. Coach and counsel employees on the standards of behavior, and take corrective actions as required including discipline.
- Provide input and work collaboratively with peers and other departments to achieve production and maintenance goals including preventative maintenance schedules. Also ensure electrical installations are as per requirements
- To provide leadership for the Crusher crew
- To assess crew members to evaluate their training requirements.
- Required to report on production targets and daily performance as well as KPIs and other reports as required by Management
- Fills in for the Crusher Superintendent as required.
Main Qualifications- High School Diploma required
- From 3-5 years' experience Mobile or Stationary Crusher Experience
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office software especially Outlook, Excel, Word & SAP
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Leadership as well as interpersonal, organizational and conflict resolution skills
- Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude. Able to develop and foster a team environment
- Thorough working knowledge and understanding of efficient mining practices, procedures and regulations
- Experience in open-pit mining is preferable
- Experience working in a multicultural environment;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team;
- Strong ability to effectively communicate in English (Oral and written)
- Environmental/Physical Demands:
- Work in extreme low temperatures down to minus 40 Celsius.
- Physically able to use all standard hand tools and lifting up to 25 kg.
- Operation of equipment for 12 hour long daily shifts for a two-week period.
