Redefine excellence in your career as an ICU Nocturnal Physician Assistant in Allen, Texas at Texas Health Presbyterian Allen

We are hiring for a full-time nocturnist position. A nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

Local Team Collaboration:
  • We take pride in our well-established team at Texas Health Allen. Day Intensivist coverage with night 12-hour Advanced Practice Provider coverage.
  • Provide care to patients in the 8-bed, closed ICU.

Qualifications:
  • Board certified physician assistant with unrestricted license.
  • Prior ICU APP practice time- minimum of 2-years post training ICU practice including performing ICU procedures.
  • Licensed to practice in Texas.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Scheduling:
  • 15, 12-hour night shifts per month, block shift scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality, comprehensive care to medical / surgical / cardiac / ICU patients.
  • Demonstrate autonomous care within an ICU setting with support from a full complement of medical subspecialists; demonstrate ability to work autonomously and multitask within the critical care team.
  • Commit to excellence in the clinical service and demonstrate problem-solving abilities necessary to best serve our patients.
  • Must provide evidence of procedural competence with the following procedures: central lines, arterial lines, intubations and chest tubes.
  • EMR is Epic.
