The Crew Foreman provides effective leadership of assigned personnel and assures adherence to safety and specification requirements while constructing, installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical facilities. This position plans, organizes, and coordinates a variety of new construction, maintenance, and/or repair projects, on energized and de-energized lines both above ground and underground, on all voltages required throughout the system to ensure efficient utilization of materials, equipment, and staff. This individual prepares and verifies work orders, staking sheets, and timesheets while communicating accurate time to crew for work orders. They ensure that all construction, operation, and maintenance work is performed in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the procedures and standards of Mountain Parks Electric, RUS, and the current National Electrical Safety Code.
Requirements include a Journeyman Lineman with an additional 3 years closely related and progressive job experience; with a thorough understanding of electric distribution systems; 1 year managing/supervising experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a valid Colorado Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Must keep current and valid throughout employment. Basic first aid and CPR certification required within 3 months of hire. Must keep current and valid throughout employment. Must reside within a 45-minute response time of service area center, and within service territory.
