Manager, Emerging Client Collections

The Manager, Credit Risk is responsible for supporting enterprise credit risk governance through customer credit assessments, payment schedule approvals, contract and financial terms review, and oversight of credit-related decision support. This role evaluates customer creditworthiness, monitors financial exposure, supports risk-based contracting decisions, and partners with Sales, Finance, Contracts, Legal, Billing, and Collections to enable timely commercial decisions while maintaining appropriate financial, compliance, and risk management protections.

Essential Tasks / Responsibilities
  • Lead customer credit assessments and evaluate creditworthiness, exposure, payment behavior, and other risk indicators to support informed credit decisions.
  • Review and approve payment schedules, extended payment terms, and customer-specific financial arrangements in accordance with corporate credit policy.
  • Provide credit risk guidance for new business opportunities, including support for contracting, pre-award reviews, and risk-based commercial decisions.
  • Review contract language and financial terms to identify and mitigate credit, collection, billing, and cash flow risks.
  • Monitor portfolio risk trends, customer exposure, delinquency, and payment performance to proactively identify emerging credit concerns.
  • Partner with Commercial, Finance, Contracts, Legal, Billing, and Collections to resolve credit issues, payment delays, and contractual matters affecting risk exposure.
  • Support risk governance through policy compliance, documentation of credit decisions, escalation of exceptions, and oversight of risk-based contracting activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement through reporting, analytics, automation, process enhancements, and decision-support tools that improve efficiency, consistency, and quality of credit risk decisions.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of credit risk management, financial statement analysis, customer creditworthiness, and commercial finance processes.
  • Ability to evaluate financial performance, payment behavior, contract terms, and exposure data to support sound credit decisions.
  • Working knowledge of accounts receivable, collections, billing, dispute management, and cash flow implications.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to explain credit decisions and partner across cross-functional teams.
  • Sound analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive requests.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint, with experience leveraging analytics and automation tools to enhance decision support.


The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $70,600.00 - $176,400.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
