Job Description:

At Regions, the Credit Products Commercial Banking Group Manager leads a broad team of first line associates supporting Diversified Industries, Specialized Industries, Regions Equipment Finance Company, and various segments within Real Estate Banking. The Commercial Credit Products team is focused on delivering credit products and managing the commercial loan portfolio by applying policies, processes, and tools in support of the risk management process. This ensures a consistent and standard approach to Commercial Banking underwriting and portfolio management processes including risk rating accuracy. In addition to asset quality, the Credit Products Commercial Banking Group Manager drives loan production responsibly.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Develops and manages key performance indicators within Middle Market for approval document quality, credit servicing quality, and credit approval turnaround time
  • Acts as a Liaison to Credit Review, Risk Management, and Audit for identification of any weaknesses in the risk management practices of Middle Market teams
  • Hires, develops, coaches, manages and mentors team leaders who, in turn, hire, develop, coach, manage, and mentor Credit Products associates supporting underwriting and portfolio management activities
  • Ensures that Regions is building the best team of associates who have skills, desire, experience and training to create a sufficiently deep bench
  • Creates and maintains strong working relationships with key stakeholders including Middle Market Executives, Credit Officers, Client Coverage Teams, Capital Markets, Senior Leadership, and Human Resources
  • Ensures new loans and renewals are underwritten to prudent risk standards and is in compliance with the loan policy and the credit risk management policy
  • Serves in a leadership position for all risk management initiatives and activities regarding Middle Market
  • Serves as a coaching resource around client selectivity, loan structuring, underwriting, servicing and risk rating
  • Leads credit product activity delivery and support for Middle Market
  • Serves periodically on committees/task forces/groups as needed


This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Fifteen (15) years of commercial banking/commercial credit experience
  • Six (6) years of managerial experience
  • Completion of a major corporate credit training program or the equivalent corporate banking/corporate finance experience
  • Significant accounting, finance and capital markets knowledge


Preferences
  • Master's of Business Administration or a related degree

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

$271,316.00 USD
Median:
$327,642.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans:
This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive plan. Employees have the potential to receive a discretionary award based on performance against defined metrics and goals.Opportunity to participate in the Long Term Incentive Plan.
