OverviewAnalyzes fixed income investments. Monitors and evaluates existing fixed income portfolio holdings. Prepares and presents reports to portfolio manager and Credit Team. Performs in-depth research on new issues.
Core Responsibilities- Researches and evaluates potential fixed income investments and markets. Analyzes financial data from corporate statements, databases and Wall Street firms. Prepares and presents credit reports to portfolio manager and Credit Team for action. Obtains and evaluates information from other research analysts and/or company officials.
- Proactively monitors industry/sector developments, providing industry and sector input to help form relative value opinions for sector investments and to recommend changes to exposures when warranted.
- Analyzes watch list issues quarterly and prepares write-up for Committees review.
- Maintains relationships with sell-side research analysts.
- Attends Wall Street conferences and maintains relationships with Wall Street research analysts.
Skills QualificationsRequired:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to understand and analyze financial statements
- Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong personal computer skillsPreferred:
- Knowledge of database software desirable

CompensationThe wage range for this role takes into account a broad array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The range below applies as long as the work is performed in Connecticut; the Knights of Columbus reserves the right to adjust the wage range if the position is performed in another location. At the Knights of Columbus, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $98,000-$153,000.
