Overview
The Creative Services Manager is a strategic storyteller and presentation specialist responsible for transforming complex business concepts, research, partnership initiatives, and executive priorities into clear, compelling, and visually engaging materials. This role leads the development of high-impact presentations, pitch decks, brand marketing materials, and other strategic creative requests that support organizational and marketing objectives.
Serving as a bridge between business strategy and creative execution, the Creative Services Manager partners with executives, marketing leaders, business units, writers, designers, and other creative resources to shape narratives, organize information, and guide work from intake through final delivery. The role requires strong editorial judgment, presentation development skills, project leadership, and a service-oriented approach.
Responsibilities
Presentation and Pitch Development
- Lead the development of executive presentations, pitch decks, strategic proposals, partnership materials, research presentations, and other high-visibility communications.
- Translate complex or unstructured information into clear, persuasive, and audience-focused narratives.
- Develop presentation architecture, messaging frameworks, story flow, headlines, and supporting copy.
- Partner with designers to ensure visual execution reinforces the narrative and meets brand standards.
- Adapt content and presentation style for executive, internal, partner, client, and public-facing audiences.
Brand Storytelling and Content Development
- Develop narratives that communicate the organization’s brand, values, capabilities, community impact, customer stories, and strategic priorities.
- Support brand campaigns, sponsorships, partnerships, events, thought leadership, and corporate initiatives through strong storytelling and content development.
- Transform research, customer insights, and business strategies into accessible and engaging stories.
- Write and edit presentation copy, talking points, scripts, creative briefs, and related marketing content.
Creative Services and Project Management
- Manage creative requests from intake and discovery through development, review, approval, and final delivery.
- Clarify project objectives, audiences, deliverables, timelines, roles, and decision-makers at the outset of each assignment.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects and shifting priorities while maintaining quality, accuracy, and timely delivery.
- Coordinate with internal creative team members, external agencies, freelancers, and production partners as needed.
- Maintain organized project files, version control, feedback documentation, and final approved assets.
Stakeholder Partnership
- Lead discovery sessions and stakeholder interviews to gather information, clarify objectives, and identify the strongest story.
- Serve as a consultative partner to executives and internal clients, providing recommendations on message, structure, and creative approach.
- Synthesize and reconcile feedback from multiple stakeholders while protecting message clarity and strategic intent.
- Present work, explain creative rationale, and guide stakeholders toward effective decisions.
Brand Stewardship and Quality Control
- Ensure deliverables align with brand positioning, visual standards, messaging frameworks, and audience needs.
- Review materials for narrative clarity, consistency, accuracy, grammar, and overall presentation quality.
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, Corporate Communications, and other reviewers as appropriate.
- Identify opportunities to improve presentation quality, templates, intake processes, and creative services workflows.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, English, media studies, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in creative services, presentation development, content strategy, editorial development, brand storytelling, communications, media development, or a related discipline.
- Exceptional writing, editing, information synthesis, and storytelling skills.
- Demonstrated ability to turn complex subject matter into clear and compelling narratives.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and experience developing presentations for senior leaders or external stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple deadlines, stakeholders, and review cycles.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- High attention to detail and sound judgment when handling sensitive or high-visibility materials.
Preferred
- Experience developing executive, Board, partnership, sponsorship, or business development presentations.
- Background in media, journalism, documentary storytelling, publishing, consulting, communications, or brand strategy.
- Experience collaborating with graphic designers, video producers, writers, and external creative partners.
- Familiarity with financial services, banking, or another highly regulated industry.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or other creative tools is helpful but not required.

CompensationThe base pay range for this position is USD $100,000.00/Yr. - USD $135,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
