Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly forecasting processes for cost and inventory, including variance analysis and reporting to leadership.
  • Conduct scenario planning and WIF analysis for both short and long-range forecasting.
  • Calculate inventory reserves for forecasted and actual figures.
  • Oversee multiple SOX controls and ensure compliance with internal and external audits.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in forecasting and reporting processes.
  • Support Global Operations team with decision analytics, including NPVs/ROIs and supply chain optimization.
  • Collaborate with Sales Ops on margin analysis and pricing strategy.

Solidigm is seeking a senior Finance Cost & Inventory Manager to join our Cost of Sales team. This role oversees multiple direct reports and will Cost and Inventory forecasting, inventory reserves, and optimizing our multi-billion dollar manufacturing spend. This role is a critical finance business partner to senior leaders, requiring disciplined forecasts, accurate Close, high-quality insights, and influencing of investment decisions. Cost and Inventory touches nearly all areas of the company, requiring partnership across orgs, managing multiple stakeholders, and influencing complex decisions. Solidigm is a young, rapidly growing company, and this role will present multiple opportunities to grow with company, define new business processes, deploy new systems, and determine where and how to apply AI. Specific responsibilities include:
  • Leading monthly forecasting process for cost and inventory including unit cost and COGS, gross inventory, inventory reserves, variance analysis, slide preparation, and presenting to leadership, including the CFO. Reporting is done in GAAP, Non-GAAP, and IFRS.
  • Scenario planning and WIF analysis for short- and long-range forecasting
  • Calculating Inventory Reserves for both forecast and actuals
  • Owning multiple SOX controls and working with internal and external auditors to ensure proper controls and compliance
  • Driving continuous improvement in capabilities and processes for forecasting and reporting
  • Decision analytics in support of the Global Operations team including NPVs/ROIs, make v buy, vendor selection support, and supply chain optimization
  • Margin analysis and partnership with Sales Ops on pricing strategy
  • Decision impact: Direct influence on financial reporting, financial forecasts, cost structure, margins, and investment priorities


Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of cost management, accounting principles, financial reporting, and inventory valuation methods
  • Thorough understanding of SOX controls, compliance requirements, and accounting standards (GAAP, Non-GAAP, and IFRS)
  • Process management expertise and proven track record of driving process efficiencies
  • Experience building and managing complex models in Excel, comfortable using complex formulas and lookups, and ability to organize and analyze data for insights
  • Strong leadership or management experience with ability to guide and energize teams

  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; manages multiple priorities effectively

The compensation range for this role is $116,240 - $186,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
