Who YOU are and what YOU can become

As the Cost & Contracts Manager, you will strategically develop and execute on cost out initiatives within the direct supply base, as well as ensure that parts are maintained on long-term agreements. You would encompass ownership of activities such as; bid list development, technical data package collection, RFP/RFQ, cost analysis, price and contract negotiation, compliance documentation drafting, deal review approvals and contract finalization.

  • Own and develop long-term supplier agreement strategies, maximizing value and mitigating financial and operational risks.
  • Lead complex contract negotiations with domestic and global suppliers to secure competitive pricing and reliable performance.
  • Drive multi-year cost-out initiatives, competitive bid events, should-cost analysis, and sourcing strategies that materially impact financial performance.
  • Present commercial recommendations to senior leadership, supporting executive decision-making through robust analytical and financial modeling.
  • Direct cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Program Management, Quality, and Finance to execute supplier transitions and commercial strategies.
  • Ensure contract, compliance, and technical documentation meet MRAS and ST Engineering standards.
  • Mentor and guide commodity buyers, fostering a high-performance sourcing team.


What YOU must bring to Succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science, or equivalent experience with 5+ years of supply chain, purchasing, finance, contracts, or related experience.
  • Aerospace or industrial manufacturing industry experience highly preferred
  • This position involves access to export-controlled technology which requires U.S. Person status or government authorization. A 'U.S. Person,' as defined by 22 C.F.R. a7120.62, includes U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, individuals lawfully admitted for permanent residence (green card holders), and individuals granted asylum or refugee status in the United States. To be considered for this position, you must either be a U.S. Person or fall within a legally recognized export control exception or authorization. If hired, you will be required to provide valid proof of such status.


Desired Characteristics

  • Advanced Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college
  • Previous experience in Aviation engines / systems / aircraft
  • Previous experience working with Finance or with financial models
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple project responsibilities
  • Previous experience in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement
  • Clear communication and strong interpersonal skills

Estimate salary range for this role: $88,200 to $127,300 per year. ST Engineering MRAS considers several factors with extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, education/training/certification, job level, and work location. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
