JOB DUTIES: - Directs the Department of Correction's classification and operations staff and serves as liaison with any private prison classification staff within the region.
- Acts as regional liaison to field in all aspects of inmate classification and operational issues.
- Attends and conducts staff meetings, collaborating with program supervisors and department managers to address reception center needs.
- Conducts audits of select classification staff to ensure adherence with Department of Corrections' procedures. Supervises the implementation of procedures established by the department.
- Attends meetings with other departmental staff and provides assistance as it relates to the Classification & Records unit.
- Ensures the ACA classification standards are in compliance. Develops plan of action of any deficiencies.

REQUIREMENTS:Please note, when submitting a college/university degree, if selected for this position official transcripts will be required.
- Eight years of professional correctional experience, two years must be in a supervisory capacity (Classification Supervisor or higher), College education from an accredited institution can substitute at the rate of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours per year for a maximum of two years of the required experience.
