Responsibilities

The Corporate Regional EHS Manager is responsible for leading environmental, health, and safety performance across multiple manufacturing, farm, transportation and distribution sites. This role partners with Division and Site leadership across the US, Canada and UK to drive risk reduction, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement while fostering a high-performance safety culture.

This position serves as the subject matter expert on safety and environmental topics and is responsible for providing functional support of the EHS Management System for each division. This role is based in St. Louis, Missouri, and requires up to 50% travel.

RESPONSIBILITIES

EHS Strategy, Governance & Systems
  • Own the governance and continuous improvement of the enterprise-wide EHS Management System, ensuring regulatory integration and adoption of industry best practices.
  • Lead and support internal and external audits across manufacturing, farm, and distribution operations.
  • Ensure compliance and continuous improvement in Process Safety Management (PSM), where applicable.

Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
  • Monitor evolving EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, MOL, MOE, etc) and assess potential impacts to operations.
  • Partner with division leadership to identify and mitigate Significant Injury and Fatality (SIF) risks.
  • Collaborate with Risk Management on efforts to reduce losses and improve total cost of risk.

Data, Reporting & Performance Insights
  • Deliver executive-level reporting to inform decision-making and drive performance improvement.
  • Provide visibility into leading and lagging indicators, audit results, and improvement opportunities.
  • Use data analytics to identify trends, risks, and enterprise-wide opportunities.

Enterprise Partnership & Influence
  • Partner with Division and Site leadership across US, Canada and UK operations to promote employee engagement and a high-performance safety culture.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, ESG, and Risk Management to drive EHS outcomes.
  • Lead internal EHS conferences.
  • Develop EHS technical capability across the enterprise through training, tools, and knowledge sharing.

ESG & Sustainability Integration
  • Partner with ESG leadership to develop, track, and report EHS metrics aligned with sustainability goals.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement
  • Identify and implement innovative EHS technologies to reduce risk and improve performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to advance enterprise safety maturity.

Qualifications

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering, or other technical or science related degree
  • Master's degree and/or professional certifications such as CSP a plus

Experience
  • Minimum of 8-12 years progressive EHS experience including leadership of multi-site or regional programs in manufacturing and distribution environments
  • Proven ability to influence senior leadership and drive organizational change
  • Strong experience implementing, maintaining and managing EHS Management Systems and governance frameworks, including audit programs and continuous improvement processes
  • Deep knowledge of US and international EHS regulations with the ability to translate regulatory changes into operational requirements
  • Proven track record identifying and mitigating SIF risks, improving safety performance, and reducing risk
  • Strong analytical capability, including using EHS data, KPIs and dashboards to generate insights and deliver executive-level reporting
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally across all levels to drive safety, compliance and business outcomes
  • Proven experience developing and implementing EHS policies and procedures
  • Experience developing training and safety culture programs across geographically dispersed teams
  • Experience leading EHS professionals (direct or indirect)
  • Ability to drive changes by taking projects from proposal to implementation
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications

Other Requirements
  • Must be available to provide support for 24/7 manufacturing operations, including weekend and off shift hours
  • Capable of walking and performing tasks in an industrial environment that are wet, hot, cold, humid, dusty and/or noisy
  • Must be able to safely ascend and descend ladders
  • Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment


This is a hybrid role based in St. Louis, MO. In office days are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Work from home days are Mondays and Fridays.
