Corporate Health ManagerHSE 3 New York, NY, Austin, TX or San Francisco, CA 3 Full-Time
How We Operate- Extreme ownership. Full autonomy. Own things end to end often taking on scope outside your core role without being asked to get things done.
- Velocity. We drive everything forward as fast as possible.
- First principles. Challenge every assumption. Zero analogy thinking, no egos, the best idea wins.
- Love of the game. The frontier of AI is the most interesting problem of our time. We put in long hours at high intensity to push the frontier forward.
The HSE TeamExamples of key problems the team is working on- Build the sustainability program for one of the largest compute buildouts in history, from zero. The first GHG inventory, the first disclosures, the first water strategy, all written here while the company adds gigawatts.
- Make our carbon and water numbers hold up to the most demanding audience in tech. Hyperscaler customers, auditors, and regulators will test every figure, so the accounting gets built right the first time.
- Keep environmental compliance ahead of the fastest build in the industry. Behind-the-meter generation spans multiple states, each with its own air permit conditions, runtime limits, and reporting deadlines, and the company adds sites faster than any manual compliance model can keep up with.
Role Scope- Own the workers compensation program across every business unit: data center operations, construction, manufacturing, and corporate, from carrier and TPA selection through claim reserves, reviews, and closure.
- Run case management for every work-related injury and illness end to end, from first report through treatment, fitness-for-duty, and full-duty return, with an occupational medicine and clinic network stood up in each state we operate in.
- Build the return-to-work program so injured employees are back on modified or full duty in days, with transitional duty defined ahead of time for shift-based field roles.
- Stand up the industrial hygiene and ergonomics programs for high-energy sites and the manufacturing facility: exposure assessments, sampling, heat, noise, and fatigue controls, ergonomic risk reduction for shift-based field work, and medical surveillance where exposures require it.
- Own injury and illness recordkeeping across all sites so OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 logs, electronic submissions, and state filings are accurate, current, and defensible on inspection.
- Turn claims, near-miss, and clinic data into a single view of injury trends and cost drivers that leadership and site HSE teams act on before the next claim, not after.
What Were Looking ForThe below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you dont fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.- Youve personally managed a multi-state workers compensation program for a workforce of thousands, including carrier and TPA relationships, reserve reviews, and premium and experience-mod outcomes you can point to.
- Youve run case management for high-severity injuries in construction, manufacturing, or heavy industry, and your former employers return-to-work numbers moved because of you.
- Youve built a return-to-work or transitional duty program from nothing and gotten field supervisors and union or contractor workforces to use it.
- Youve led industrial hygiene and ergonomics work in the field: written the exposure assessments, pulled the samples, redesigned a task that was producing injuries, and stood up medical surveillance for a real hazard.
- Youve owned OSHA recordkeeping across many sites and been through an inspection or audit where the logs held up.
- You work directly with carriers, adjusters, defense counsel, occupational physicians, HR on leave and accommodation interplay, and injured employees in the same week, and each of them gets a clear answer and a next step from you.
- You build the program from data: youve pulled claims and clinic data into a trend view a COO would read and changed a control because of what it showed.
- Bonus: Industrial hygiene or safety credentials (CIH, CSP). Case management or disability management credentials (CCM, CPDM, occupational health RN). Self-insured or high-deductible workers compensation programs and captive structures. Multi-state compliance in the states where we build (Texas non-subscriber rules, New York, Indiana, Louisiana). Claims and injury analytics tooling (Origami, Riskonnect, Intelex).
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.
