The Structured Finance & Derivatives Practice Group at Hogan Lovells Cadwalader is seeking a highly qualified junior to mid-level associate to join its sophisticated and collaborative team in either our New York, Charlotte, or Los Angeles office.

The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant legal experience in esoteric asset backed securitization. Exceptional candidates with more or less experience will also be considered. Relevant finance-related experience is preferred, including structured finance, leveraged finance, asset finance, banking, project finance or fund finance, or experience in tax. The successful candidate will be intellectually curious, highly reliable, motivated, and eager to learn, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should demonstrate a strong sense of ownership, proactively advancing matters, and managing discrete workstreams with increasing independence. The role requires excellent judgment, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in an entrepreneurial environment with opportunities for early responsibility and close collaboration with partners. An interest in cross-border transactions and the ability to work seamlessly with colleagues and clients across different jurisdictions and cultures are also important. Membership in, or eligibility for admission to the New York, North Carolina, or California Bar is required.

A resume/CV and law school transcript (or the equivalent) are required for application. We also encourage you to include a cover letter to tell us why you are interested in this position. Candidates for lawyer opportunities in the U.S. must have a law degree from an ABA-accredited law school and be a member of the Bar in the United States.

The expected base salary range for this role is $235,000-$365,000 per year. This range reflects a good-faith estimate of pay at the time of posting; the actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as the candidate's qualifications. This position is eligible for additional forms of compensation, which may include annual performance bonuses and discretionary bonuses. Employees in this role are also eligible for benefits offered by the firm, subject to applicable plan terms and conditions, which currently include medical, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k) retirement plan; and paid time off. Additional benefits may include relocation. Please review this link for more information regarding employee benefits in the United States.
