Job Title:
Corporate Events Manager
Company:
Prologis
A day in the life
The Corporate Events Manager leads the strategy, design and delivery of a portfolio of high-touch experiences for clients, brokers, executives and employees. The portfolio includes destination programs, executive meetings, retreats, sports hospitality and other signature events with complex travel, production and guest service requirements.
This person partners with business and marketing leaders to define objectives, audiences, messaging and measures of success, then translates that direction into distinctive experiences that strengthen relationships and support business priorities. As an individual contributor, the role leads agencies, vendors and cross-functional teams while remaining hands-on through planning and onsite execution.
Key responsibilities include:
Event Strategy and Stakeholder Partnership
- Lead event strategy for assigned programs from the initial brief through post-event analysis, ensuring each program supports defined marketing and business objectives.
- Serve as a strategic partner to senior stakeholders. Help clarify goals, target audiences, messaging, program format and the role each event should play within a broader business or relationship strategy. Align partners across Marketing, regional teams, executive offices, Sales, Communications, Legal, Security and Procurement.
- Develop a clear plan of record for each program, including objectives, audience, narrative, experience principles, success measures, scope, decision rights and key milestones.
- Advise stakeholders on feasibility, investment level and tradeoffs. Recommend changes when the proposed format, timing or spend does not support the stated objective.
Experience Design and Production
- Shape the creative direction and guest journey for programs with high production value and white-glove service, from invitation and arrival through departure and follow-up.
- Translate the event strategy into an integrated experience across content, destination, venue, hospitality, travel, entertainment, gifting, branding, production and onsite service.
- Manage end-to-end planning and delivery, including RFPs, site selection, contracts, room blocks, food and beverage, audiovisual production, transportation, registration, communications, staffing, run of show and contingency planning.
- Maintain clear project plans, roles and approval points. Anticipate the needs of executives and guests, resolve issues calmly and protect the guest experience when plans change.
Budget, Vendor and Risk Leadership
- Develop and manage budgets for individual events. Build cost models, prioritize spend, evaluate alternatives and recommend where investment will have the greatest effect on the guest experience and business outcome.
- Manage approved budgets, forecasts, commitments, change orders, invoices and final reconciliation with a high degree of accuracy and transparency.
- Lead venue, hotel, agency, production, destination management and other vendor partners. Set expectations, evaluate performance, negotiate terms and hold partners accountable for quality, cost and service.
- Identify operational, contractual, financial, reputational and guest-safety risks early. Develop contingency plans, escalate decisions when needed and ensure programs follow company policies and brand standards.
Measurement and Portfolio Improvement
- Define success measures with stakeholders before planning begins. Establish practical methods to evaluate attendance, engagement, relationship value, satisfaction and contribution to business objectives.
- Lead post-event reviews and present concise findings, budget results and recommendations. Use attendee feedback and performance data to provide recommendations that inform future event planning and investment.
- Track hospitality, travel, event technology and production trends. Introduce useful ideas and contribute to team standards that improve consistency across the event portfolio.
- Demonstrate financial success and comprehension of applicable real estate market/submarket
