About the Role:

NextNRG, Inc. is seeking an accomplished Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead company-wide operations and accelerate growth across our energy, EV infrastructure, and clean-tech initiatives. This executive will drive operational excellence, scale emerging service lines, and strengthen our position as a leader in innovative energy solutions. The ideal candidate is a strategic operator with deep industry expertise and a passion for building high-performing teams in fast-moving environments.

Key Responsibilities

Operational & Financial Leadership
  • Own full operational P&L and partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
  • Improve gross margins through process discipline, resource optimization, and utilization management.
  • Implement reporting frameworks to track profitability, performance, and capacity across departments.
  • Use data and analytics to drive decision-making and evaluate operational and marketing effectiveness.
  • Provide leadership input on pricing models, backlog forecasting, and growth initiatives.

Strategic Execution & Service Expansion
  • Partner with the executive team to develop and execute strategic plans, including new market expansion.
  • Operationalize new and evolving service offerings across digital, technology, project management, and energy solutions.
  • Ensure services are scalable, profitable, and consistently delivered.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks impacting performance or reputation.

Technology, AI & Systems Enablement
  • Evaluate and implement systems that enhance speed, quality, visibility, and client outcomes.
  • Optimize the internal tech stack to support efficiency and scalability.

People Leadership & Organizational Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop multi-disciplinary department leaders.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management across the organization.

Vendor, Partner & Client Management
  • Select, negotiate, and manage third-party vendors and technology partners.

Energy, Utility & Infrastructure Oversight
  • Bring deep experience in electric utility construction and energy infrastructure.
  • Oversee Microgrid, Delivery, Due Diligence, and Industrial service lines.
  • Lead execution of utility-scale solar and wireless EV projects.

Operations Management
  • Identify, analyze, and implement energy and efficiency projects.
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets and monitor expenditure.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance.
  • Review and approve takeoffs, requirements, and preconstruction deliverables.
  • Lead internal review meetings to assess risk, scope, and strategy.
  • Collaborate with project management to ensure smooth project turnover.
  • Develop competitive pricing strategies and maintain strong vendor relationships.
