Responsibilities

  • Configure, program, and troubleshoot PLC systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on control systems and manage electrical parts inventory.
  • Develop and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams essential for plant operations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols during maintenance activities.
  • Conduct electrical repairs, alterations, and revisions to the plant's electrical system.
  • Support plant maintenance staff with instrumentation, PLC, and HMI/SCADA software and hardware.
  • Provide on-call troubleshooting support for control issues in the factory.

As a Controls Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining and enhancing the accuracy, reliability and system control's data credibility of PLC and PC-based automation systems. In this role, you will oversee PLC upgrades and wiring modifications on production equipment, and work directly with our maintenance team to troubleshoot and support production line modifications.

  • Configure, program and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controls (PLC).
  • Perform preventive maintenance for controls and organize electrical/control parts inventory.
  • Develop, read, and interpret all electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and programs essential to plant operation.
  • Comply with all required safety protocols during maintenance support including 70E protocols.
  • Performs all electrical work necessary for repairs, alterations, additions, and revisions to the plant electrical system.
  • Provide instrumentation, PLC and HMI/SCADA software and hardware support to plant maintenance staff.
  • Provide on-call support to the factory in troubleshooting controls issues.


Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 3+ years of applicable experience in PLC software and hardware troubleshooting and/or HMI systems in controls, automation, electrical, or industrial maintenance environments

OR
  • Associate's degree in a technical discipline
  • 1+ years of applicable experience in PLC software and hardware troubleshooting and/or HMI systems in controls, automation, electrical, or industrial maintenance environments


Salary: $72,483.30 to $97,176.00 per year

Bonus Eligibility: Yes

The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
