This is an on-site position located in Arlington Heights, IL. You must be able to work in the office on a regular basis.As we continue to grow, we are looking to add a Controls Engineer to our DevLinks team.
Position Summary:
Controls Engineer will design, develop, and maintain control systems for manufacturing processes, machinery, and equipment. You will work closely with project managers, electrical engineers, and automation teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems and drive continuous improvement in our operations.
Responsibilities:
- Programming automation equipment
- Troubleshooting knowledge with electrical components and wiring and debug all systems and follow through with final performance testing
- Must be able to manage and work well with build and electrical team
- Must be able to work on multiple projects during different phases of their building.
- Ability and attitude to complete a project from start to finish with minimal supervision.
Travel required:
- 5-15% Field service and/or start up
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Controls Engineer in automation or industrial manufacturing environments
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and accuracy
- Experience programming automation equipment
- Proficient in PLC and HMI programming and troubleshooting for packaging equipment
- Experience with Allen-Bradley software, including Studio 5000, RSLogix 5000, and RSLogix 500; AutoCAD Electrical; Kinetix; Festo; and IAI motion control products
- Machine vision (Cognex, Keyence, iRVision) experience preferred, but not required
- Fanuc robot experience preferred but not required
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
