Full Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
Architect enterprise-scale Ignition solutions utilizing Perspective, Vision, Tag Providers, Gateway Networks, and Enterprise Administration Modules.
Design dashboards, operational KPIs, system monitoring, diagnostics, and reporting solutions.
Develop reusable templates, UDTs, scripting libraries, and application frameworks.
Implement alarm management, notification systems, user management, and audit functionality.
Configure and maintain Ignition Historian and reporting modules.
Integrate Ignition with AB PLCs, Siemens PLCs, OPC-UA Servers, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL databases, WES/WCS platforms, REST APIs, MQTT architectures, Third-party equipment providers. Develop bi-directional communication between operational technology (OT) and enterprise systems.
Lead, perform and troubleshoot Ignition-related commissioning and startup activities.
Integration & Cross-Discipline Collaboration
Required Qualifications:
B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, Computer Engineering, or equivalent engineering qualifications.
8+ years of industrial automation experience. Preferably supporting material handling, warehouse automation, manufacturing, or distribution systems.
5+ years of proven hands-on Ignition development experience architecting enterprise-scale Ignition deployments.
Experience leading multi-site SCADA implementations.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Ability to lead technical conversations with customers and cross-functional teams.
Capable of managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
Comfortable mentoring and guiding engineers.
