Full Job Description
We have opportunities for:

Software Controls Engineers: This role involves control system architecture, PLC and HMI development, and cross functional collaboration from design through commissioning. The successful candidate will work closely with mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and service teams to deliver reliable, high-performance automation solutions for our customers.

Hardware Controls Engineer: This role focuses on electrical and controls hardware design, including schematics, wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, and bills of materials (BOMs). The selected candidate will work closely with mechanical engineering, software controls engineering, manufacturing, and service teams to deliver reliable, high-performance automation solutions.

Controls Engineer: Design new extrusion control systems and make modifications/upgrades to existing extrusion control systems. Assist in Shop Floor checkouts of assembled extrusion control systems, including identifying and documenting possible updates/changes needed to ensure that sold specifications are met. May need to evaluate systems, parts or processes for cost efficiency and reliability to ensure project completion.

Requirements:

College Degree in relevant field: 2- or 4-year electrical engineering, mechatronics, engineering or controls engineering degree required

Minimum of 3 years of experience to include:
  • Knowledge of industrial automation, controls engineering or automated machinery.
  • Experience with high-speed servo applications and variable frequency drives (VFD's)
  • Knowledge of Allen Bradley and/or Siemens PLC's required
  • VFD, HMI/SCADA programming experience using applications including RSView ME/SE, Wonderware, Yaskawa, Rockwell FactoryTalk View, Allen-Bradley PowerFlex.
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems and their requirements
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Preference for those with experience in a manufacturing or capital equipment environment, specifically industrial automation or automated machine design
  • Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office products
  • Written and verbal communication skills required
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
