Compensation:$85,000 - $100,000 Annually, with bonus potential
What You Will Do:You will join an engineering team of a dozen engineers, ranging from early career through 30 years of experience, reporting directly to the Chief Engineer. The team owns controls from initial design through startup and field support on machines that ship into some of the most demanding industries in manufacturing. The product catalog is wide enough that no two projects look alike, so the learning curve never flattens out.
If you have spent your career keeping one machine running, this role will feel different. You would be touching new designs, active field issues, and vendor decisions in the same week, across a product line that changes industry to industry.
Design- Program PLC, PC based, and motion control (PID) systems for new machine builds
- Select electrical hardware and control components, balancing performance, cost, and standardization
- Draw and review electrical schematics for new equipment
Field and Production Support- Support installation, startup, and testing on machines shipped to customers, domestic and international
- Troubleshoot control system issues on installed equipment and guide corrective action
- Work directly with customers and internal teams to resolve technical questions during commissioning
Purchasing and Vendor Management- Generate purchase orders for electrical and controls components
- Evaluate vendors and components for correct fit at competitive cost
- Track material from order through receipt to keep projects on schedule
What You Bring- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum five years designing and developing machine tool control applications
- Working programming experience with industrial PLC platforms, Siemens and Allen Bradley preferred
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent schematic software
- Comfort with 20% domestic and 10% international travel
