OVERVIEWAs a Controller, you will serve clients in fractional, interim, and project-based roles, providing leadership in day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management. The Controller is a full-time role, eligible for benefits.
You'll work closely with client leadership to:
- Improve financial systems and reporting
- Oversee monthly close processes and internal controls
- Mentor accounting staff members
- Support strategic planning and decision-making with accurate financial data
- Manage projects, forecasting, and analysis to support business growth and transitions.
- Prepare for audits and assist with external reporting
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices
QUALIFICATIONS- Accounting and/or Finance education and credentials, along with a mixture of public accounting experience as well as industry experience. Experience with nonprofit organizations or small/mid-sized businesses is a plus.
- Ability to think strategically, balancing big-picture vision with operational detail
- A track record of adaptability and problem-solving across different industries or company sizes
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with multiple accounting systems
- CPA preferred but not required
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
