Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this highly visible role will lead accounting , financial reporting, treasury, cash management, and financial controls across a complex, multi-entity healthcare organization.

Salary range: $190,000 - $230,000, plus annual bonus opportunity and equity participation

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership & Reporting
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements, executive reporting packages, dashboards, and Board materials that provide meaningful business insights.
- Oversee all core accounting functions, including the general ledger, intercompany accounting, payroll accounting, fixed assets, and accounts payable.
- Maintain and strengthen accounting policies, internal controls, and financial governance to support a scalable, best-in-class finance organization.
- Serve as the organization9s technical accounting leader for complex transactions, including acquisitions, lease accounting (ASC 842), revenue recognition (ASC 606), and other emerging accounting matters.
Treasury, Cash Management & Lender Compliance
- Lead treasury operations, including daily cash management, banking relationships, liquidity planning, and rolling cash flow forecasts.
- Oversee lender reporting, debt compliance, covenant monitoring, and all required financial reporting to lending partners.
- Partner with executive leadership to proactively manage working capital, liquidity, and financial risk.
Audit, Compliance & Strategic Initiatives
- Lead the annual financial statement audit and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial partners.
- Support acquisition due diligence, purchase accounting, and the financial integration of newly acquired businesses.
- Partner closely with FP&A and executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and strategic initiatives.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Drive automation, process optimization, and ERP enhancements that improve reporting quality, strengthen controls, and increase operational efficiency.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CFO, providing financial insight and leadership to support organizational growth and long-term value creation.
Must adhere to Clarest9s Code of Conduct, follow Clarest Compliance policies and procedures, and report any suspected violations of any federal or state laws to either their direct supervisor, Human Resources or the Compliance Officer.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor9s degree in Accounting or Finance ; CPA required
- MBA, MHA, or other advanced business or finance-related degree preferred
- 12+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 3-5 years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role
- Prior experience in a PE-backed company or environment with active sponsor oversight and reporting obligations is strongly preferred
- Healthcare or Healthcare services industry experience - pharmacy and 340B accounting highly preferred
- Deep technical GAAP knowledge including ASC 842, ASC 805, ASC 606, and consolidation accounting
- Demonstrated experience managing lender relationships and covenant compliance under a leveraged credit facility
- Strong understanding of credit agreement mechanics - financial definitions, EBITDA add-backs, restricted payment baskets, and reporting deliverables
- Proven track record of owning and managing external audits end-to-end
- Experience with multi-entity, multi-state consolidations
- Proficiency with ERP systems ( NetSuite,Oracle ); advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Public accounting background (Big 4 or national firm) with healthcare or PE portfolio clients, preferred
- Experience supporting a sell-side or buy-side QofE process, preferred

- Proven ability to lead through change, including process improvements, ERP implementations, acquisitions, and business integrations.
