Description
Controller - Manufacturing Accounting & Financial Reporting Help build the future of finance at Austin Cutlery & Tool
WHAT YOU'LL DOAccounting Leadership- Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close across multiple entities
- Deliver timely, accurate, and audit-ready financial reporting
- Oversee the general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, and technical accounting
- Coordinate external audits and support lender and executive reporting
- Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team
Manufacturing & Inventory Accounting- Design and implement manufacturing accounting in SAP S/4HANA - standard costing, WIP, and variance analysis
- Oversee inventory accounting, valuation, reserves, and cost analysis
- Partner with Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain
- Build meaningful cost and variance reporting leadership can act on
ERP, Process Improvement & Business Partnership- Serve as Finance's functional lead for SAP financial and manufacturing processes
- Participate in ERP implementation, testing, and process design
- Automate accounting work and improve reporting efficiency
- Partner with business leaders to support operational decisions
- Drive continuous improvement across operations and internal controls

COMPENSATIONBase Salary: $130,000-$145,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Requirements
Must-Haves- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including meaningful experience in a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with cost accounting, standard costing, inventory accounting, and manufacturing financial reporting
- Experience leading month-end close and financial reporting
- Experience managing or mentoring accounting staff
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Nice-to-Haves- CPA
- Experience participating in ERP implementations within a manufacturing environment
- SAP S/4HANA experience
- Multi-entity accounting experience
- Distribution and omnichannel business experience
- Experience supporting a manufacturing start-up or business transformation initiative
Salary Description
130,000 - 145,000
