Job Title: ControllerJob DescriptionLead hands-on accounting and financial reporting for a 6070-person, multi-location manufacturer. Partner directly with the owner to improve processes and guide business decisions.
Responsibilities- Lead GL, AP/AR, payroll, cost and inventory accounting; coordinate approximately 3.5 shared plant accounting/administrative staff.
- Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close and financial reporting; resolve the close backlog and target a one-week monthly close.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial analysis across manufacturing locations.
- Strengthen GAAP compliance, internal controls, and Made2Manage ERP/reporting workflows.
- Develop accounting staff, partner with external CPAs, auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions, and visit plants approximately quarterly.
Essential Skills- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 7+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in accounting leadership or a Controller-level role.
- Manufacturing accounting experience with strong cost, inventory, and multi-location accounting knowledge.
- Hands-on close and financial reporting experience, ERP proficiency, and advanced Excel skills.
- Practical leadership, analytical skills, initiative, integrity, and clear cross-functional communication; ability to work on-site and travel periodically.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- CPA and Made2Manage experience preferred.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
