Learn more about the Job:Responsible for directing All For Kids accounting functions. These functions include establishing and maintaining the organization's accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives. Prepares financial reports and presents findings and recommendations to top management. Requires a bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of direct experience in the field. Advance degree or CPA required. Demonstrated expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Prior work in the not-for-profit field a plus. Prior experience with the accounting software Sage Intacct a major plus.
Job Responsibilities: - Reports to CFO
- Manages day-to-day operations of the accounting departments; Responsibilities included billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, revenue control, tax filings, treasury, payroll, fixed assets, cash flow, internal audit, financial planning and general accounting
- Review monthly financial statements and management / operating reports
- Manage the external audit and prepare all audit work papers
- Coordinate the upgrade of the company's financial statements, general ledger, and subsidiary ledgers.
- Design and implement internal accounting controls and office policies
- Prepare annual budget and track actual performance against budget
- Direct monthly financial close including reconciliation of, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, inventory, payroll, accruals, purchases, and revenue
- Perform walkthroughs and design effectiveness reviews of internal control procedures for core business processes for the purpose of identifying and validating controls documentation and evaluating overall design effectiveness
- Identify key controls and internal control weaknesses or deficiencies
- After identifying key controls, develops, prepares and executes test scripts/plans for control operating effectiveness testing
- Assists in remediation efforts to reduce internal control gaps
- Oversee the Accounting Software Sage Intacct
