We are seeking a Contracts Manager in Moog's Central Supply Chain organization. Your role is critical in managing vendor contract requirements for a wide range of indirect procurement categories including Machine Tooling, Calibration Services, IT, Chemicals, Facilities, Logistics and Professional Services. You will report to the Senior Contracts Manager. You will have a remote or hybrid work schedule.

As a Contracts Manager you will....
  • Support procurement managers to develop and execute procurement strategies.
  • Prepare and negotiate vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. Includes drafting contractual language, reviewing and responding to proposed vendor contractual deviations.
  • Collaborate with various Moog functional disciplines on contract requirements, e.g., trade compliance, VAT, duties, Incoterms, cyber security, FAR, DFARS, and other relevant areas.
  • Consult with internal and external legal counsel on contract-related matters.
  • Provide contracts guidance and support to procurement and logistics managers.
  • Maintain accurate records of all contracts, amendments, and associated supplier communications.
  • Develop and maintain a variety of contract templates including standard Long Term Supplier Agreements, Standard Terms and Conditions of Purchase, and other contract vehicles.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with vendor contracts.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize the contract management lifecycle process and implement procedure changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Includes contract change and risk management, including requirements to maintain documentation related to supplier claims, disputes, and litigation, contract provision evaluation, contract drafting and contract negotiations.
  • Upskill procurement and logistics personnel by providing training on contract requirements, commercial and US Government terms and conditions, Moog policy, contract lifecycle process, and procedure requirements.


To be considered for this role, here's what you'll need to bring with you...
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related technical discipline.
  • Juris Doctor (JD).
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant contracts experience in procurement, supply chain, or contracts management, preferably within a large, complex organization.
  • Experience managing contracts for a wide variety of indirect procurement categories, including but not limited to Machine Tooling, Calibration Services, IT, Chemicals, Facilities, Logistics and Professional Services.
  • Understanding of US and international transactional principles including, but not limited to, the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), export licensing, imports, Incoterms, VAT, and duties.
  • Experience consulting with legal counsel on contractual terms and conditions.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft creative solutions to unique business problems in a collaborative environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven capability in working collaboratively within a multicultural, geographically dispersed environment.
  • Flexible working hours when required to support meetings in different time zones.
  • Occasional international or domestic travel.

Salary Range Transparency:
Buffalo, NY $110,000.00-$155,000.00 Annually
