The Contract Support Specialist plays a vital support role within the contracting and procurement process, assisting the Contracting Officer (KO) in the preparation, drafting, and effective management of various contracts. This position requires providing both administrative and technical support throughout the complete contract lifecycle ("cradle to grave"), ensuring strict adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies. The Contract Support Specialist's contributions are fundamental to efficient procurement operations and the successful execution of logistics-focused contracts between entities such as the United States and partner organizations.
Key responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Assisting the KO throughout every phase of the procurement process, from the initial planning and requirements assessment to contract execution, administration, and closeout.
- Providing specialized administrative and technical support for a variety of logistic support agreements, with a particular emphasis on contracts such as Acquisition and Cross-Servicing Agreements (ACSA) and Mutual Logistics Support Requests (MLSR).
- Preparing, reviewing, and editing draft contract documents, agreements, and related correspondence, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Supporting the KO in ensuring all contracting actions meet applicable federal laws, department guidelines, and established procurement procedures.
- Organizing and facilitating meetings, discussions, and related engagements to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and support the progression of logistics agreements.
- Maintaining detailed and orderly records of contract actions, correspondence, performance data, and compliance documentation in support of audits or reviews.
- While providing critical assistance, refraining from inherently governmental activities such as making final contract decisions, obligating funds, or signing contracts-responsibilities that rest solely with the KO.
Anticipated salary range: $100,000 - $120,000
This position will end on our around March 30, 2027 with the possibility of extension.
This position is contingent on contract modification.

Basic Requirements- Associate's Degree.
- Current, active Secret security clearance.
- 2+ years of hands-on contract administration or procurement support experience, ideally within logistics or government/military contracting environments.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with federal and logistics contracting laws and policies.
- Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and editing formal contract documents.
- Analytical and problem-solving aptitude.

- Professional proficiency in English is required.

Preferred Qualifications- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Public Administration, or a related field preferred.
