Nous recherchons un(e) contrôleur(e) financier(ère) polyvalent(e) pour prendre en charge et faire évoluer nos opérations financières. Il s'agit d'un rôle fondateur pour une personne qui s'épanouit dans un environnement de croissance, qui souhaite structurer et optimiser les processus, contribuer à l'évolution d'une organisation en pleine expansion, et qui est fière de gérer une fonction financière rigoureuse et bien organisée.

Vous serez responsable de l'exactitude et de l'intégrité de nos livres comptables, de la ponctualité de notre processus de clôture et de la qualité de nos rapports financiers - à travers plusieurs entités et zones géographiques. Vous travaillerez en étroite collaboration avec le directeur des finances et des opérations, à qui vous rendrez compte directement. Vous gérerez également un employé direct, notre coordonnateur aux comptes clients, qui s'occupe de la facturation et des recouvrements auprès des clients.

Ce poste n'est pas un rôle de finance stratégique. C'est un rôle de bâtisseur - pour quelqu'un qui veut prendre en charge une fonction, accomplir le travail et poser les bases d'une opération financière de classe mondiale.

Ce que vous ferez

Opérations comptables

• Prendre en charge la comptabilité quotidienne : grand livre général, comptes fournisseurs et clients, paie, facturation et recouvrements.
• Surveiller les obligations de paiements sortants et s'assurer que les fonds sont disponibles à l'échéance, en enregistrant les transactions par des écritures de journal dans NetSuite.
• Gérer le processus de clôture mensuelle et annuelle, en assurant l'exactitude, la ponctualité et la réconciliation complète du bilan.
• Assurer une comptabilité multi-entités et multidevises précise au Canada et aux États-Unis.

Rapports financiers

• Préparer et maintenir les états financiers mensuels, les rapports de gestion, les analyses de flux de trésorerie et les annexes.
• Effectuer des analyses d'écarts et soutenir les prévisions en collaboration avec le directeur des finances et des opérations.

Systèmes et processus

• Diriger l'implantation de NetSuite et gérer la migration depuis QuickBooks Online.
• Établir et maintenir les politiques comptables, les contrôles internes et les processus financiers évolutifs.
• Tirer parti d'outils tiers et de l'automatisation pour améliorer l'efficacité et l'excellence opérationnelle.

Revenus et conformité

• Assurer une comptabilisation précise des revenus conformément aux structures d'abonnements SaaS et de contrats.
• Coordonner avec les comptables externes, les auditeurs et les conseillers fiscaux au Canada et aux États-Unis.

Le profil recherché

Expérience

• 5 ans ou plus d'expérience en comptabilité ou en finance
• Expérience dans le SaaS, la technologie ou les services B2B (fortement préféré)
• Exposition aux entreprises en démarrage ou en phase de croissance (atout important)
• Expérience dans le secteur automobile ou en concession (un atout)
• Expérience en multi-devises et multi-juridictions
• Titre de CPA obtenu ou en cours d'obtention (atout valorisé)

Compétences techniques

• Solide compréhension des modèles financiers SaaS et des revenus d'abonnement
• Expérience en comptabilisation des revenus et en facturation basée sur les contrats
• Maîtrise de NetSuite, QuickBooks ou de systèmes comptables similaires
• Excellentes compétences Excel ; à l'aise avec les rapports financiers et les réconciliations

Langue

• À l'aise en anglais ; la maîtrise du français est un atout important

Financial Controller

About the Role

We're looking for a hands-on Financial Controller to own and scale our financial operations. This is a foundational role for someone who thrives in a growth environment, who wants to shape and optimize processes, contributing to the evolution of a growing structure, and takes pride in running a tight, well-organized finance function.

You will be responsible for the accuracy and integrity of our books, the timeliness of our close process, and the quality of our financial reporting - across multiple entities and geographies. You'll work closely with the Head of Finance & Operations and report into them directly. You will also manage one direct report, our internal AR coordinator, who handles client-facing billing and collections.

This is not a strategic finance role. It's a builder role - for someone who wants to own a function, do the work, and set the foundation for a world-class finance operation.

What You'll Do

Accounting Operations

• Own day-to-day accounting across general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, billing and collections.
• Monitor outbound payment obligations and ensure funds are available when due, recording transactions through journal entries in NetSuite.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and complete balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensure accurate multi-entity and multi-currency accounting across Canada and the United States

Financial Reporting

• Prepare and maintain monthly financial statements, management reports, cash flow analyses, and supporting schedules
• Perform variance analysis and support forecasting in collaboration with the Head of Finance & Operations

Systems & Process

• Lead the implementation of NetSuite and manage the migration from QuickBooks Online
• Establish and maintain accounting policies, internal controls, and scalable financial processes
• Leverage third-party tools and automation to improve efficiency and operational excellence

Revenue & Compliance

• Ensure accurate revenue recognition in line with SaaS subscription and contract structures
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors across Canada and the US

Who We're Looking For

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance
• Experience in SaaS, technology, or B2B services (strongly preferred)
• Exposure to startup or early-stage companies (strong asset)
• Experience with automotive retail or dealership environments (a plus)
• Experience in multi currency and jurisdiction
• CPA designation or in progress (valued asset)

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of SaaS financial models and subscription revenue
• Experience with revenue recognition and contract-based billing
• Proficiency with NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar accounting systems
• Strong Excel skills; comfortable with financial reporting and reconciliation

Language

• Comfortable working in English; French proficiency is a strong asset

• Hands-on and proactive, with a bias toward action

Compensation: CA$95,000 - CA$120,000 per year, based on experience and internal equity
