Role Description - Content Director, USA
About the role
As Omnichannel Content Director, you will lead content strategy and delivery across both web and social for a portfolio of our US clients, spanning Greenpark's verticals including food and drink, health and pharmaceuticals, beauty and wellness, and luxury. Based in the US, you'll own an integrated content offering that works equally hard on site and on social - from search-led articles and product pages to social-first content and community - built to be found wherever people search: on Google, on platforms such as TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, and in AI assistants and LLMs such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. Based in the USA, you'll help to lead a multidisciplinary team of editors, writers and social specialists, champion the smart adoption of AI across our content workflows, and partner closely with our Search & Insights, Digital PR, Influencer and Performance Tech teams. You'll report to the Head of Content.
What you'll do
- Set up and own omnichannel content strategy for a portfolio of US clients, creating a single narrative that activates cohesively across websites, social platforms and AI search.
- Lead the delivery of performance-driven web and social content - from articles and product pages to social-first content - built on search, social and audience insight.
- Drive client visibility wherever people search, championing LLM visibility (GEO/AEO) and social search alongside SEO.
- Lead, mentor and grow a multidisciplinary team of editors, writers, strategists and social specialists, setting clear standards for quality and performance.
- Champion AI adoption across the content team, embedding tools and workflows with clear quality standards and guardrails, and upskilling the team to use them well.
- Set and govern tone of voice, editorial guidelines and ways of working - including team structures, processes and workflows - putting performance and efficiency at the heart of everything you do.
- Act as a senior client partner, presenting strategy, performance and recommendations, and contribute to new business and the development of Greenpark's content services.
- Collaborate closely with our Search & Insights, Digital PR, Influencer and Performance Tech teams, and stay ahead of developments in search, social and AI.
- Stay ahead of developments in search, social platforms and AI - including how AI models surface and cite content - and feed this insight into client strategy and Greenpark's wider service offering.
About you
- Significant experience (10+ years) leading and developing high-performing content teams, with a collaborative, mentoring style and a focus on delivery at pace.
- Deep expertise across both web content and social media, with a proven ability to shape storytelling that performs on websites, on social platforms and in search.
- A strong grasp of SEO and content for LLM visibility (GEO/AEO), including how to create and structure content that ranks in search and is cited by AI models.
- A strong understanding of social platforms, best-practice content formats and social search, with hands-on experience of social listening and community management tools.
- Fluent in omnichannel content planning and strategy, with experience aligning paid, organic, web and social activity.

- Agency experience across a range of sectors - including food and drink, health and pharmaceuticals, beauty and wellness, and luxury - with the ability to adapt tone, compliance and storytelling to each audience.
- Confident with clients, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders and contributing to new business.
