Title:
Contamination and Control Technician

KBR is seeking qualified Contamination and Control Technicians to join our OMES III contract supporting environmental testing operations at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center's Integration & Test (I&T) complex in Greenbelt, MD.

Summary of Work

The Cleanroom Support Technician will be responsible for providing comprehensive support in pre-clean and precision cleaning operations, consumable management, and logistic support for flight projects. The ideal candidate will help ensure that all cleaning and contamination control processes comply with established work instructions and project requirements.

Required Skills/Knowledge
  • Conduct monthly audit testing for consumables and maintain accurate records of results.
  • Assist in lab services and support increased services as needed, ensuring total labor hours on tasks do not exceed established limits.
  • Provide pre-clean and precision cleaning technician and engineering support.
  • Deliver contamination control services for projects and subsystems with approved funding.
  • Perform ongoing logistic support services, including managing the staging and storage of test hardware and support equipment, and coordinating clean tent and facility use.
  • Oversee consumable management for all cleanrooms and the blanket shop, including gowning and thermal blanket consumables.
  • Conduct lot testing for consumables as requested and funded by specific projects.


Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred.
  • Prior experience in cleanroom operations, contamination control, or laboratory support is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with GSFC cleanroom protocols and work instructions is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Basic Compensation:

Jobs on this contract range from $30/hr - $52.79/hr. Pay range is specific to the Greenbelt, MD area.

The offered rate will be based on the position, contract affordability, the selected candidate's working location, knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
