hybrid and on-site support from our Washington, DC or New York City office, based on the candidate's location, with travel to other locations as needed to support client and business needs.Unlock Your Potential As a Project Manager on MGAC's Hospitality team, this position will support the coordination and delivery of hospitality projects, including project oversight and internal and external communications. The Project Manager will help ensure projects are completed efficiently, on time, and in alignment with client expectations and MGAC's business goals, while developing toward independently managing projects.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred but not required
- 5+ years of experience in hospitality construction or project management
- Experience with hospitality renovations, capital improvement (CAPEX) projects, conversions, and ground-up construction
- Strong knowledge of construction costs, scheduling, estimating, engineering principles, construction methods, systems, and materials
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, presentation, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project
- Strong client service skills with a proactive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented approach
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Willingness and ability to travel as required
- Enthusiasm for the hospitality industry and a team-oriented mindset
What You'll Be Doing - Support the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of hospitality projects
- Maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders
- Assist in developing project schedules and monitor and communicate progress, risks, and potential delays
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, meeting records, change orders, drawings, inspections, and project decisions
- Represent and advocate for the Owner's interests throughout the project, including during disputes, changes, and change-order discussions
- Attend project meetings as the Owner's Representative, as needed
- Track invoices, purchase orders, financial commitments, exposures, and other project costs
- Keep the Hospitality team informed of project status, key milestones, risks, and major completion stages
- Collaborate with the broader project team to identify and resolve issues that could impact successful project delivery
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support successful project completion
Salary Range $110,000 - $130,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
The advertised salary range is intended as a general guideline and may vary based on factors such as experience, expertise, and location. This base salary does not reflect the full compensation package, which may include bonuses, 401(k) matching up to 8%, and other benefits.
